I'm considering buying the Sitka Fanatic Lite for early-mid season hunts in Wisconsin. However, I'm one of those guys who is always hot, and so I'm nervous about getting it and finding out that it's uncomfortably warm in temps alive 30 degrees or so. Does anybody have any experience with these in different weather conditions? Especially while being stationary (tree stand) or low activity (still hunting/stalking ). What temperatures and conditions have you used them, and how comfortable were they?

IMO the Fanatic Lite is "lightweight". Too light for me at 30 degrees without some kind of "puffy" layer. If you run hot it might work, but at 30 degrees I'm comfortable in the regular Fanatic. For me the Fanatic Lite is good early season to take the chill off. I would comfortably wear it with a base layer down to 45-50 and put it on under 60 and be comfortable. No way could I sit wearing it at 30 degrees, I'd freeze to death.

As usual, my experience is exactly as Kota says. Fanatic Lite is not a well insulated piece. It is a good outer LAYER to add versatility to the whole system.

How do you guys think the Fanatic Lite stacks up against the Stratus set? Maybe this will give the OP another option to buy ? Just a thought for those who've had the chance to try both sets

Stratus will definitely keep you in much colder/crappier weather. No matter what you layer under it IMO.

I have the stratus and Fanatic. I'm looking for something lighter. Seriously considering the Fanatic lite warmish days, layering under for cooler days, fanatic for late season, and sell the stratus. I'm just afraid that the Fanatic lite will be too warm

I'd say you are on the right track. The Fanatic Lite has NO Primaloft in it. It is not a warm garment on its own.

Would it be correct to say that the Fanatic Lite is similar to the 90% jacket, in terms of how warm it is?

I used the fanatic lite all season here in Indiana last year. I combined it with a shacket and it got me deep into the winter and then I switched to the Incinerator. Its a very versatile piece for early season and maybe turkey season for spring.

Thanks to everyone for the input. I decided to order the Fanatic Lite bibs & jacket, and they came yesterday. I decided to temperature check them, so I wore them goose hunting after work today. Mid-high 40s. These things are HOT. I was hoping for something that would run from 35-60 degrees, but - for my always warm self - I think that these will work from about 30-50 degrees, as long as I pack the jacket in instead of wearing it & put it on in my stand.
