Tried this and it kept making me upgrade to the $100 app. Emailed them and got a reply that it's only good for new memberships.

And doesn’t work for gps cards, just online app stuff.

They emailed me back again and said that I can use the code to buy an app card now, then when my current subscription runs out in September, use the card to reactive my subscription. I asked about loosing offline maps. They said I’ll still have my maps and waypoints.
