It will make an even bigger impact if you haven't bought that $4,000 thermal imager that is not available at any place close to where you live. Add another 5%-8% to your cost.

Most retailers have not implemented the new sales tax law yet but the window is closing fast.

We just got hit with having to pay 10% GST on all items bought overseas. Came in today. We never used to pay it for online and now Amazon apparently won't ship here because it is up to the seller to pay our gov the $.
They can't really enforce it and the paperwork side of things for $1 items from china will cost the gov more anyhow.
I need to buy axles for my truck, should've done it yesterday

This is just the beginning. Fishing tackle is going to go up also, since the majority of it is produced in China. Say good bye to cheap products. The fed will just collect more tax on the higher priced items and squander it away.

I'm trying to grab as much stuff in the next few weeks before the tax wave hits more vendors. I usually do most of my buying around turkey day, not this year.

Holy balls, we are talking usually less than 10% . Nice roads, public services and buying more American made products cost money.
