My brother went to SDSU in the mid 90's and caught a ton of walleye out of the Big Sioux and Lake Sinai. He took grandpa's 16' Crestliner v-bottom with 9.9 Johnson for the lake fishing. He used to razz me about having caught tons more walleye than I had, but that's changing now.Honestly if I am making a trip i would be driving east to the glacial lakes. I grew up in watertown and everyone used to talk about the river and big fish. Now the big fish numbers are all over east and fishing is way better we need the smelt back in a bad way on oahe. This is one of the 15 fish 27" or bigger we caught in a weekend ice fishing over there this year.
