Okay, Prana nerds, which pant now?

I tried the new Zion 2.0 and sent them back, that stupid button on a ribbon loop is frustrating to fasten and unfasten with arthritic hands. If they would have left that one thing original, they would have knocked it out of the park for me. I would have 6-8 more pair if they had left that alone.

****They could have turned it 90º and it would better than it is****

What is close to the quality and more importantly, comfort of the original Zion?

Lululemon ABC pants...I can't stand their marketing, but hands down the most comfortable pants I've ever worn, formerly wore Zion for years. Comparable materials, better stitching, better pocket system, and you can actually wear a belt with them.

Wearing the Kuiu Tiburon. I have quite a few pairs of Prana, but I don't really like them.

Not sure it helps, but rumor has it prana is going back to the original Zion fabric.

another vote for the lululemon pants. I hate to admit it, but they are awesome.

Kuhl would be my choice. They're not as stretchy as the original Prana's, but I find the fit and function to be much better for daily wear. I really like the side phone pocket. The button/snap thing is my only gripe.

I've been eager to try these Sitka Territory pants, they were mentioned in another zion replacement thread. Looks like they are 45% off now Link
FYI, I tried the Sitka territory pants and they were trash. Returned them immediately, not sure where I heard that they'd be a good zion substitute but that was definitely not the case for me.

What styles of kuhl pants do you like? I've tried some a few years ago but none of them stuck for me, I'd be curious to try them again.

Wrangler Outdoor Zip Cargo pants are hard to beat at $24.98 Walmart price. Comfortable, durable, lightweight, good colors, modern fit and the zip pocket fits a phone nicely. Also wear Kuhl Radikl and Kuiu Attack pants.

I have Renegade and Radikl styles. The Radikl are my favorites for the stretch panels. Both are lightweight pants so they aren't intended for construction. Kuhl does make heavy duty pants if you need them.

I saw several here recommend them, my only gripe with them is the piling around the pockets, for those of us who use pockets for, well pockets.

I bought 6 pair of the Wrangler and they are comfortable, after a long day at work, the material piles around the most accessed pockets.

I guess in reality, there is no perfect replacement for the Original Zion pant.

I tried the Magellan from Academy sports, less than $30, wear great but they retain small stains from water, it's weird, they come perfectly clean when washed, but any water and I get a ring, I am sure it's the environment more than the pants.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I am going to look at the Kuhl, Eddie Bauer and the KUIU, probably order a pair of each.

I am out on the Lululemon, I have old man hips, skinny jeans like those, I might as well wear yoga pants.

I'm loving the silencr rogue, very similar cut to the renegades (I believe their most popular pant), but a cleaner look. To be honest, they offer way to many styles. The cell phone pockets in the leg are great.

Since this thread is still going I’ll add the badlands scree pants are literally the same as the old zions, just no buttons to roll up the pants into capris. Can’t believe they werent mentioned here. Badlands isnt a favorite i find, which is odd as there stuff is nice and they have the best warranty and returns. So if you havent tried them, the scree and the task pants are worth checking out.
