Ohio Elk Reintroduction

That's pretty cool. I've read stories about elk reintroduction in other places like TN.

Michigan is one, I've been trying for a tag for nearly 25 years. I may never get one.

I live near the Pa Ohio border. I’ve been over there. Lots of strip mines. Definitely some hilly terrain in the southwest. I’m just not so sure there’s enough of it for elk. Pa has a huge expanse of elk habitat and the herd keeps expanding every year.

Yup waste of $ or a novelty at best. IF they became established, you'd have a better chance of winning the Powerball than a tag.

There's plenty of high fence operations if you want to 'hunt' Western animals in the East.
