Raw on the far left , bead blasted next to it@Ryan Avery @Unknown Suppressors any chance there is a side by side picture with all the colors? I’m stuck between raw or bead blasted, first world problems I know
Carlos Hathcock has one and I’m sure he will get back to us on that. That Raw looks great!
Will the Raw produce glint from sunlight?
Agreed, but I will add that it's best to check with your SOT first before buying the tax stamp and trust in your SS account. I called mine yesterday and they much prefer to facilitate all of it, and that way I can pay for the transfer all in one transaction. Not all FFLs that handle firearm transfers will handle NFA items. An easy route is look up a dealer with a silencershop kiosk in the link below, call and ask their fees to receive a suppressor transfer from a manufacturer.
From there:
1) Set up and account on silencer shop & fill out the background check questions
2) Take and upload a photo to your account through the mobile app
3) Go to the kiosk and scan your finger prints.
From there silencer shop will verify your account is good to go.
You order your can from unknown (or where ever) and tell them the dealer you previously looked up. Between those parties a form 3 will be submitted and approved to the ATF allowing the suppressor to transfer to the dealer. Once the dealer gets it they will load it into your silencer shop account and they will prepare the form 4. You need to purchase your tax stamp at this point if you haven't already. Also if you want to do a trust, load that into your account before the dealer adds the suppressor so silencer ship easily knows to prepare a trust form 4.
You also need to create an ATF account and get a pin number.
You verify the form 4 draft, silencer shop then says its ready to certify. You call your dealer boots up a session that you log into with the ATF and each of you verify info and plug in your respective pin numbers and then the forms are submitted and you wait for approval.

Are they using silencer shop to prepare the paperwork? That is what I was referencing.Agreed, but I will add that it's best to check with your SOT first before buying the tax stamp and trust. I called mine yesterday and they much prefer to take care of it all and pay for the transfer fee in one transaction.
They were contacted by US so now we're just waiting for the Form 3 to clear and the can to land!
Yes, they have a kiosk. They said they much prefer to facilitate everything because it makes it easier in the long run if there's any issues, but things tend to go smoother by doing so. Doesn't bother me a bit because the first 2 cans I purchased through them was a breeze. Are they using silencer shop to prepare the paperwork? That is what I was referencing.
I'm just speculating but when a dealer who uses silencer shop for paperwork is transferring a can that wasn't provided by silencer shop to them there is likely a paperwork fee from silencer shop to prepare the form 4. I assume if that is accurate most dealers just bake it into the fee they charge to handle the transfer and don't clarify what they are charging for themselves vs paying silencer shop. If that is the case your dealer might break out the charge. All just speculating but seems logical SS charges the dealers some sort of fee for form 4's from 3rd party vendors. My SOT (who uses the kiosk) did mention that I may have to pay Silencer Shop an additional transfer fee, which I understand, but I never dealt with before.

So uncivilized.
