OG Suppressor Early Access Rokslide Link

The adapter is for barrels that are threaded 1/2-28. If your barrel is threaded 5/8-24, then you’re good to go, no adapter needed.

Logged into my Unknown Suppressors account and looked at my order… it’s been updated! Order 1203 “Estimated Print Date: May 30, 2025 – June 13, 2025 (If in stock, you may not need to wait. This is only an estimate of when it would be printed.)”

Under promise, over deliver!

Does anyone with a calibration tool know if these will fit over the barrel of a factory threaded 5/8x24 Barrett Fieldcraft? Thanks

Measure the diameter of the barrel?

What am I missing here though. Unknown says 5/8-24 direction thread. My Tikka roughtech says the same thing: https://choose.tikka.fi/global/code/TF1T9640A5709D0M

What is the need for the adaptor, is the pitch or fineness of the threading different?
Some Tikka Roughtechs, like mine, came with m15x1 threads, those would be the adapters that can be an issue depending how they're designed. The 1/2-28 threaded adapter they're selling for these suppressors won't have any issues because they make the tool for it with a socket extension so you can get it down into the hole.

I’m nearly positive the barrel contour is less than .750” behind the threads on the field craft. The rifle was designed as a light mountain rifle with a steel barrel, it had to be narrow. You should be good to go. Calipers are cheap though to be 100% certain.

For me the $200 isn't the key, it's removing suppressors from the NFA - which will probably save me some coin in any future trust updates for new cans, etc. - assuming that isn't changed back in the future.

If anyone is going to reach out to their Senators to encourage support, one tweak to possibly suggest is for an earlier effective date.I posted in the other thread, but this effective date is weird in that it combines 90 days plus the next calendar quarter. Maybe that has something to do with ATF internal issues?

if they enact by ~July 2nd, then the effective date is 10/1. If they can't get it enacted by ~10/4/25, the effective date won't be until 3/1/26.

But I'm breaking one of my personal guidelines - don't bother to pay attention to any pending legislation until it is passed, as usually doing so is a complete waste of time.

It wont be easy in the short term to buy a suppressor if it passes. Every fudd I know is trying to ask me about cans now and I keep telling them if you want one you should buy now. If you wait I can nearly guarentee there will be a run on cans and they will be as hard to buy as ammo was a couple years ago. They wont be able to make them fast enough.

Bought two with some suppressor covers. Looking forward to getting my hands on them

My concern is where it flares out before the threading starts.
I don’t have a caliber, but I am sure buying one will be a good idea, but was looking to order a U.S hopefully soon.

It is an easy fix if it doesn’t fit. Easy.
If you want the can, I would get what you want now. The people waiting for can to come off the NFA are going to be upset.

I hear you. Hear are all of the reasons I'm rationalizing not pulling the trigger now.
  • I don't need another can (not that "need" drives anything for me...) I already have 2 TBACs and I don't shoot more than one rifle at a time. (Maybe two if I'm at the range.)
  • I've also had cans for long enough to remember the waiting period for ATF approval being very long (months, and I'm pretty sure more than a year in at least one instance)
  • If I have to get on a list at Unknown Suppressors while they print them, I'm good with that to avoid the $200 tax and paying my attorney to update my paperwork.
  • Once the Fudds and general public get interested, some will focus on currently available cheaper options, others will get frustrated when they figure out the law change will be at least 90 days later (if not longer), and more companies will spool up in that time period to sell cans (not that they will focus on the same things that US did).
  • I expect (and hope) that the waiting time to print will be less than it took to be my RokStok, and less time than my first suppressor to get out of jail.
  • Also, if there is a wait to get one, it might coincide well with the delayed effective date of the law change.
I reserve the right to completely ignore all of the above - as I see the countdown clock running out at US....

This is exactly where I’m at. Do I want one? Yeah.

But not enough to spend $200 on a stamp and update the trust in this particular moment.

Or bank on the fact that’ll be a non issue and file as an individual🤷🏻‍♂️.

That flare is likely .7-.750. My rifles have more flare after the threads then those and they are only .770.

What are the cartridge/barrel length restrictions? I don’t see those listed in the description or specs.

Good question. Ryan said somewhere along the way he was shooting a 16.5” (??) 6UM so for me, that was good enough to order intending to be used in a 16” 6CM. I don’t recall seeing anything though, but am interested, but not concerned, at least for my use case. But again, am curious
