Got a chance to shoot the new OG-6 today. Overall, I'm impressed as it balances incredibly well on a 21" Preferred Tikka Hybrid Lite. I shot it side by side with my Nano, Airlock 6.5, Reaper and Harvester Evo with my .223 and 6 TCU.

Suppression is very good for 3" beyond the barrel.

Balance/Feel is better than everything but the Nano.

I shot a few shots out of each without earpro and I'd say that it's a touch quieter than the Nano and a hair louder than the Airlock 6.5. It's definitely quieter than the Harvester and as expected louder than the Reaper.

I intentionally left/took off my redneck diy covers to check mirage and the OG gives me two magazines (8 shots) before the Mirage becomes noticeable. It's roughly 4 with the Nano and 5-6 with the 6.5. (Mind you both of these cartridges are only burning 25ish grains of powder) My $2 diy covers will double that timeline.

I didn't have time to try it on the 6 PRC but I imagine it will be just fine with plugs or muffs or for a couple of shots unprotected in the field. It will be next week before I can get back out.

Thanks again for the group buy and great can! It's amazing how heavy/loud the SiCO Harvester Evo's feel now compared to these new cans when they were considered to be "lightweight" when I purchased them a few years back.

It's incredible that it was only 3 weeks from the day the Group buy was announced to having my eform approved and shots fired thru the can. I've never had a group buy go so smoothly and quickly...

The harvester evo was my first suppressor and I was amazed at how good it sounded. And while I don’t have the selection you do, I will agree that it is now basically a noisy cinder block. I do appreciate the comparison to the evo, since I have one it helps me know what to expect.

Now all you fools that have gotten your og6 already, quit making me jealous. Im in the “mine hasn’t shipped yet” group and my 22-250 is tired of lugging that cinder block around.

We tested the OG6 a lot this last week when I was in Texas and no 5in ish muzzle forward suppressor that I’m aware of will out perform it and I’d safely say 95% of 6in muzzle forward cans it out performs as well.

If it makes you feel better, mine arrived last week but FedEx didn’t ring the doorbell and so my SOT didn’t get it. Then it got redelivered Monday but now my SOT is out of town for a week.

Only thing I am miffed about is the weight came in exactly 6.4oz, so I can’t start a complaining thread on how it’s heavier than advertised. I was really looking forward to bitching about a company(s) that continues to innovate in this awesome industry. Hate you guys.

Thread 'NFA Approval after January 1'

I know there was a lot of speculation with extended wait times being possible due to a surge of applications on Jan 1. My application was submitted after hours on the 1st, and approved this morning.

While I wish suppressors weren’t NFA regulated anymore, it’s a breathe of fresh air to see the speed of approvals continue to be reasonable.

Dang I did my paperwork 4/4 and haven’t heard anything yet.

Trusts are taking longer. Depending on your SOTs appetite for being pestered, it would be worth asking if they have seen your approval after 1-2 weeks for individual and 3-4 weeks for trust.
