Normally Id be hitting the woods every weekend right now trying to drop myself a nice big spring bear... But this year just isnt the same..

I just cant get into going out this year, I dont know if its the fact that I had knee surgery back in December and still dont feel 100% in my strength and recovery or if its wanting to leave room in the freezer for this years fall moose hunt.

Either way spring bear is just about over and I wont be filling the tag this spring season.

The upside is I have started doing Yoga everyday with my wife and am working on my knee strength to get ready for August archery season and for when the full season opens up.

Im hoping I wont have to go out everyday with pain if I can get my knee strengthened back up.. I am going to go see my surgeon again in the next couple weeks to talk to him about it as well.. See what he says.

Unsure of your age but as Bar noted unfortunately pain has become part of my fun as well...I just manage as best as possible...depending on your issue with your knee and any prior surgeries definitely give it time to get to 100% prior to getting back out..good luck!

Same boat here. Pain or some sort of discomfort is a part of everything, or at least a for sure after affect. Was really bad this spring but things just sort of vanished one day. Been stretching my pain areas and trying to stay on the good side. Want to start a fall workout routine but have to learn to not go overboard. My job is very physical and takes a good toll day to day as well.

I've not had a pain free day since 1992 and I'm fifty years old.
I can relate to the lack of desire at times. The only thing we can do it seems is to push when the desire is there and keep going as best we can.

Im 36... I made an appt with my surgeon so Im gonna go talk to him in a couple weeks and see what he has to say about it..

Very good idea BC, if you're overweight it will also do a lot of help to get the extra pounds off your knee. I really think fish oil has helped my joints but it might be a mind thing....also maybe try a supportive wrap until you get it built back up.

I'm stubborn, and some call me stupid. I have a torn meniscus in my knee, and ruptured disc in my lower back. I'm too old to be cut up anymore, so I just deal with it.

Oh yeah, I forgot the hernia, but it's so old I ignore it now. Getting old sucks. I'm glad I only have to go through it once.
