Luckily this happened at the range. This arrow failed at launch. No injury, damage to anything else. Just have never seen an arrow failure of this type. I routinely flex them, inspect on regular basis. I'm currently chalking it up to a manufacturing fault, but thought I'd ask others.

you practicing field points or broadhead?

i know my fletchings start to come off close to knock when they group. Wonder if your point nicked the shaft there. I have lost a lot of knocks from grouping…

Did you have weights screwed into the back of your inserts?

Should have just knocked the nock out, but definitely something odd it seems.

could of hit it with another arrow previously. I flex and inspect arrow A LOT but every now and then I find a little nick where another tip hit one or something.

Not that it couldn't have been a defect but I have seen Gold Tip inspect arrows (don't know what arrow you are shooting) If there is a flaw that would lead to something like that be hard for it to get past QC.
