I find the optics debate is a lot like looking at peoples mounts in their houses or pictures they post on forums like this. IMO some people don't understand quality and just look at the horns/antlers on the wall and say man this mount turned out great! Meanwhile its cross eyed, with a slight grin, greasy hair, and and looks like it is choking on it's own reflection.
Most people just look through binos in the store and go wow I can read that sign 100ft away cool. If they spent hours behind them side by side looking at the same image in different light and were taught to look at the edges of the glass, how the colors bleed (or don't), feel the difference in eye fatigue from good glass to bad glass (or build quality) etc, they may open their eyes a bit.
