NXS 2.5-10 windage turret

For you guys that use this scope for hunting, what do you do about the exposed windage turret? That’s my only hesitation on pulling the trigger on one. I’ve seen guys remove swfa windage turrets and place a rubber sleeve over it (moisture seems like a big concern on this one), is that an option for the NXS? Do you wrap tape around it so it doesn’t get bumped? Or is it stiff enough that you don’t really worry about it?

I have two and haven’t done anything to the windage knob. It has never moved. I glance at it now at then but never had to correct it. If it moves I’ll just take the short route back to 0, pull the bolt and look down the barrel. If I went the wrong way it will be very apparent without even firing a shot.
