Nx8 , which model to get? Western Hunting

What model nx8 should i get for long range western rifle? Always been an moa guy. Should i switch?

I am also looking at the NX8 line. I really like NF, but my experience is limited to 2FP ATACR. I am looking to cut weight and get into 1FP. I am thinking the C622 is the model that would do well for a western backcountry rifle. If you are solely looking at long range and weight is not an issue, I recommend the ATACR.

As for the MOA thing, if you're looking to get into long range I'd just grab one in MRAD personally. MRAD is a little simpler to think in (1/10ths instead of 1/4ths) and it's slightly less fine of an adjustment so you need fewer clicks for any given elevation solution. Plus it has the added benefit of getting people new to long range to stop thinking in inches or other linear units. MOA would be fine but MRAD is just slightly better for quality of life.

Switch, mils is easy, 4-32

Have both the 2.5-20 and 4-32 with mil xt reticles. With the 4-32 I use 32x to zero then the scope lives from 12-22x reticle is easy to use in that range with big fov.

They hold zero and track, have thousands of rounds shot with both in the last year and probably 80% dialing.

Between me and my buddies, we've got several NX8's in both the 4-32 & 2.5-20 flavor. I've got a 4-32 on my 7mag hunting rifle with a 2.5-20 on order. Once it comes in, the 4-32 is going on a creedmoor and the 2.5-20 is going on my primary hunting rifle. I am not gentle on that rifle and it has spent countless hours being hiked around mountains, bumping down roads and through pastures on SXS, and just generally beat up. Zero has held since I mounted it on the rifle, no issues at all.

Having the huge zoom is nice, but it's overkill in 99% of the situations I have used that rifle. I'm shaving a few ounces and have the added benifit if a lower 2.5 zoom by switching. For context, I rarely zoom past 10 or so in hunting scenarios.

Also, MRAD. Just make the switch, you'll be glad you did.
