Looking at these scopes to put on a .22ARC Ruger american I won in a raffle. Gonna be a "budget build" kinda, so any advice would be appreciated. I can get either scope for a good price on Expertvoice and GovX. The NX8 is about $600 more. Thoughts??

BTW, I got a Timney trigger and an MDT Oryx stock for it.

Between those two, the Nightforce… Don’t rule out your Trijicon options since you have Guidefitter. There are some superb options there. Take a look at the 4-16x AccuPoint.

I have an Accupoint 5-20 i bought used on here mounted on my 7PRC. It's solid. Always wanted to try a NF, so probably will go with that. Thanks for the reply

The night force is clearly going to be the better scope. That said, I have an original GEN 1 Athlon cronus when they were made in Japan by LOW. I have never, not once had that scope require re-zeroing. It’s been on a PRS type rifle, so certainly lived an easy life, But it’s been world’s more reliable than some of the other scopes I’ve owned, and is a completely different animal than the other athlon scopes Ive seen. I hardly use it at this point, tried to sell it a few years ago and nobody seems to want it, so resale will be lower. If you’re interested in buying mine, I might make you a heck of a deal, otherwise if it’s only a couple hundred bucks more you should probably get the night force.
