I'm a little slow so I had to think about that for a bit. But I get it now. Thanks again.Of those pins come out or break- those triggers fail. Tikka triggers that aren’t messed with don’t come loose.

Every single bolt action rifle that I am aware of, will fire if he trigger becomes loose. It’s not a design flaw- your car will crash too if your lug nuts are loose and a tire comes off.
700s don't count in a "that too" collection of junk triggers. Most folks already know they are death traps.Amen to this, I did my expert gunsmithing to a Rem 700 trigger, it went bang when I flipped the safety on after racking one into the chamber.....and had a "friend" do a brake job on a 91 Ford Bronco, because I was working and didnt have the time, and he needed the money....he didnt get the passenger side front wheel lug nuts tight, freaking wheel came off at 65 mph, went across 4 lanes of uncoming traffic, I got it pulled over and the nice popo that stopped, retrieved my wheel lol course with half the brake rotor ground off, I couldnt put it back on lol. But still, true words you spoke there @Formidilosus lol now I do my own mechanic work on my vehicles and I dont mess with triggers lol
LOL yea but I did trigger back in 1991, before Al Gore invented the internet lol700s don't count in a "that too" collection of junk triggers. Most folks already know they are death traps.
It physically blocks the sear, which blocks the firing pin. It does not interact with the firing pin inside the bolt. So it depends on what you mean when you ask that. This may have been answered somewhere and I missed it, but a general question: does the tikka safety also block or disengage the firing pin? Or does it just block the trigger?
Thanks
Thank you. That works for me.It physically blocks the sear, which blocks the firing pin. It does not interact with the firing pin inside the bolt. So it depends on what you mean when you ask that.
It is not possible more the firing pin to drop with the safety on unless a metal part breaks or the trigger housing screw is very loose.
