Im looking at a used nomad 1 and wondering how difficult it would be to reroute the horizontal straps. Im wanting to use it for whitetails but a possible trip out west too.

How are you wanting to re-route them and what are you hoping to accomplish?

I've done my fair share of hacking on kifaru bags. If you can sew and have good scissors, you're only limited by your imagination.

Id like to run a couple of them behind the bags similar to a nomad 2 but still have one on the outside. And a few other odds n ends pockets, bungees, etc.

The easiest way I found to run the straps behind the wings was to attach the strap at the "hinge" where the bags meet the back panel. I bar tacked my additional straps to the back panel right at the hinge. On the far edge of the pocket, the edges that meet in the middle when the wings are pulled together, I used 1inch plastic loops (like the ones kifaru calls common loops that 3-bar sliders can lock into) to keep the straps in place but also allow the pocket to move along the strap. I just pinched enough material along the edge of the pocket to attach the loops with 1" webbing.

I no longer have a picture of this - hopefully it makes sense. ...
