Another thread about a new shooting event gave me an idea. I shoot and volunteer at a range where a group of biathletes train in the summer. They are doing interval running and shooting, using targets set up on one of our ranges. I wonder if a biathlon event combining cross-country running and shooting would catch on? Essentially, shooting stations along a course like winter biathlon; maybe a penalty loop that would need to be run based upon missed shots? And since it would be unwieldy to run with a rifle, I'd suggest handguns and larger targets, perhaps set at 25 and 15 meters.
