Scheffler,
You better make those guys give you first shot!
Are you bringing your hammock on the hunt?

cant be getting the shakes on game day... :chuckle:I'm pretty sure that if I took you on a hunt, you would be cured of taking whiskey.
I don't hardly drink at all during hunting season. To me it's like drinking before game day. I want to perform at peak levels and whiskey won't help that.
Just weighed my pack with all my stuff except water for an eight day hunt. 40.5 pounds. That is on a bathroom scale. Don't have access to a professional scale right now. Should be about 45 or so with water. Was pretty happy with that. Branden
Mate, don't get too caught up in the ultra light bs, people cutting of strapping on packs only to then stuff their packs with 'pop tarts' and rain gear is madness. Rain gear is a real cracker, fact is, YOU are going to get wet and be uncomfortable if it rains, plus side is you can get some sort of comfort back at camp.
If you are keen on getting lighter, ditch all the superfluous food items and rain gear, they are just not needed.
Have a good trip, look fwd to reading about the adventure, most important part, enjoy yourself.
