Nightforce NXS 2.5-10 on LA M70

Okay, thinking about buying a Nightforce NXS 2.5-10 to put on my long action model 70.

I absolutely hate rails on hunting rifles. Don’t like the height of them.

Does anyone have experience mounting the scope with two piece bases? Still able to get adequate eye relief?

It's a little tight, depending on your eye's preferred scope positioning and also your preferred base / ring choice.
Which mounts are you planning to use?
Is the NXS a 32mm or 42mm?

You don't want rails, but all I have for a picture is: Classic LA, Burris Xtreme 2 piece base, Seekins .82 short rings, & LRHS 3-12 with a NSX 2.5-10x32 for comparison. Those rings are wide and take up more space than other ring options would. Also I had the front ring back a notch on rail for the NXS.

If I have your preferred mounting system on hand, I might be able to mock it up for you on 32mm.
