@sndmn11 correct. Hash marks are a liability at worst, useless at best, for my eastern use. At those ranges Im only using the center of the reticle. Even the very faint hash marks can make it tough to distinguish whats reticle and what is brush. The reticle Ive found to work best for this crossover use is the P3 on my S&B scope—a simple ffp mil dot that looks like a fine duplex at low magnification, but has useable 1-mil marks at mid and higher magnification. It could be a little thicker to really be at home in the woods, but its pretty useable, and imo does a great job for my moderate range use when I draw a tag somewhere else.
