Night force ?

Looking at a new scope for a 6.5 prc rifle, thinking of the night force SHV but notice the NXS , is it worth the 500.00 more ? What’s the difference ?

Same glass
SHV has FFP options
SHV series offers some capped turret options
On exposed turrets, NXS has zero stop, SHV has zero set (you can dial down past zero)
NXS is generally a few ounces heavier
NXS starts at 2.5-10, SHV starts at 3-10
SHV has parallax adjustment, NXS parallax is fixed at 125 yards.

ETA - interesting. It looks like there are now parallax adjustments on NXS. Mine is older and is fixed.

The shv with zero set allows you to set the turret so it cannot go below zero. This is specific to the F1 and larger SFP models.

I like my SHV F1 and would buy another. Personally wouldn’t be interested in a second focal plane scope unless it was the little nxs
