NFA Gun Trusts

I currently own two cans, both from Silencer Shop with one of their “Single Shot” trusts for each.
As I plan out future suppressors, I am considering setting up traditional NFA trust. Likely this one from Silencer Shop:

https://www.silencershop.com/nfa-gu...=3295&indexName=prd_magento2_default_products

National Gun Trust also does them, and seem to be well liked as well: https://www.nationalguntrusts.com/products/buy-nfa-gun-trust

My question for you all: For those of you have traditional NFA trusts for your NFA items, where did you get it from, and is it easy to buy suppressors from other places using that trust? (like NFA trust from Silencer Shop, but buying suppressors direct from a manufacturer’s website and sending it to a local dealer)

Thanks!

I can't believe you had no replies here. I am kinda in the same boat, but setting up trust for first suppressor. I would like to have family members on it and be able to buy future suppressors with least hassle.

I used Gun Trust Guru. I have used it to buy mufflers from Capital Armory and from Silencer Shop dealers without issues.

I ended up using Gun Trust Guru and was super easy, had it signed by a notary as well and I should be good to go with it. Overall, it was easier than I thought it would be. Now I just need to buy some NFA items to have the trust own.

Transfer the two you have into that trust now while it’s free. And remember the more people you have on your trust, the longer approvals take as everyone has to be checked and fingerprinted. Fingerprints should only have to be done once then are kept on file at capitol armory or silencershop.

I created an NFA trust through Silencer Shop, including non-relation responsible party. I did this independently from my suppressor purchase. Trust prep and review took slightly longer because I named a seemingly unusual beneficiary of the NFA trust (my family revocable trust, rather than a person) - but was pleased overall with the trust preparation. I bought through SS too, in early Dec but delayed submission to get the free stamp, and named the SOT that was most convenient to me. As it turned out, they had an arrangement with SS such that I did not have to pay the SOTs significant NFA transfer fee. Fist suppressor so no other experience to compare it with, and trust and can bought from same entity so can't speak to using the trust outside of its originator - but overall, would recommend. The gov took 36 days, which felt like forever, but it all worked out so I can't complain.
