NFA Approval after January 1

Joined the ranks, 1st suppressor, went thru Silencer Shop with their Single Shot Trust. Certified 1/26 picked my Nomad Ti XC up today. WooHoo!

Congrats! Though I’m sure you’ll regret that single shot trust, as your suppressor collection will surely grow.

Absolutely will be getting another. Considered that but went with it because it was thrown in at no charge and was simple and easy. This one will be shared with my 18 yr old grandson and wife, next will be all mine. Later I will probably do a regular one but no rush on it.

Is anyone receiving approval emails from ATF eForms? I never received one for the last two I bought so far this year, but my FFL did. I just bought another through a friend who just started selling NFA items, who says that his customers have been receiving the eForms notification, but he hasn’t. I’m not sure how this one is going to go.

I’ve received emails for both approval this year. I think it’s a coin flip. I haven’t heard or figured out what seems to cause the unsent approval emails.

My dealer did but not me. And Silencer shop apparently did not as when I go into my account it still shows in submitted status

I just got the approval email from eForms. I guess that answers that. Submitted 2/14, approved 2/18.

My understanding is SS doesn’t know the approval status until your local dealer updates them, which is typically once you pickup the item.

That would make sense.
Ill find out after today as I am picking mine up this afternoon

Can 2 submitted 1/26 - still waiting on approval
Can 3 submitted 1/28 - approved 2/14

There seems no rhyme or reason to their order either
