NFA Approval after January 1

I know people who have purchased, submitted form 4, and been approved, all in 2026.

That doesn’t sound right. My FFL has been submitting 2026 cans along with 2025 and no problems that I’m aware of.

Well it sounds like my thinking was correct, I'm going to head over there again and see if I can get them to at least try. This is my second can from them since they received their SS Kiosk and the first time was not much better of an experience......

Good luck. Sure sounds like BS that ATF won’t approve form 4s for purchases from this year until some unknown later date.

Maybe it's just that shop's policy because submissions are tough to get through and they have a bunch that waited till 2026?

I am seeing some reports of form 4 approval being notified by FFL, rather than by an email from ATF - as in, the automated approval email is getting hung but FFLs eForms dashboard will show approval and will then complete transfer. I'm closing out 10 calendar days (SS Trust/2RP/efile), so should probably just shut up and wait patiently, but wondering if others are finding that their approval notification was not sent?

Well, 13 days for Silencer Shop to get my stuff ready to certify. Certified today, see how long the wait is from here.

Still waiting for SS to send me my certify email. Purchased in Sept 2025 with delayed processing to Jan 1st so that the stamp would be free. Just says they are “reviewing”

I submitted one last Thursday - at the time the FFL told me they were getting some back in 5 days. If it’s under 2 weeks that would be the fastest yet for me.

Submitted several form 4’s on 1/4/2026. Was approved on 1/14/2026. Received an email from ATF for each.
