NF atacr vs mk 5hd or?

i run a 4-16 atacr on my sheep gun and have no issues plinking steel out to 1100yards.
The 4-16 has the best turrets also

I have been told the 5-25 is the worst in the line up and doesn't match clarity as any of the others.

really? why is that? again just going from what others have said but it seems everyone loves the 4-20 i was told "it was built for the scar 20s (mk20)" not sure how true that is, but know it was for a socom contract and thats who used the mk20 so makes sense

The clarity through the 5-25 seemed the same as on the 4-20.

The 4-20 is a great scope, but I can do everything needed in the field with 10x, and even at the range 12x is sufficient.

If you have SCAR money laying around just get the 4-20 ATACR to try it out

If you dislike it, you may waste a little money switching scopes around until you find the perfect one, but it won't be nearly as much money as you wasted on a SCAR

No SWFA cause you haven’t heard of them but you would use a leupold.

I’d suggest you learn about scopes.

The ADM delta mount was designed for the scar and takes care of the whole “scar eating optics” problem.
Scars eat optics when cantilever mounts are used.
Go with the delta mount. They are solid.

For the SCAR… definitely the ATACR 4-16x42 with the locking turret.

If you think the money i wasted on the scar is bad, you should see the other stuff i buy! You'd really crap you pants! Best part of it is most likely 360+ days of the year it will sit in the gun safe/ or out on display just to look at

That's awesome, glad for ya! Maybe brush up on your approach and how you word things, and your success will climb even further. Simply put; offer an expiation to your statement. Attempt to educate, and lead with guidance Vs a passive aggressive suggestion.

I'm fairly certain by my entire post, it was evident i don't know squat about long distance shooting, limited knowledge about quality scopes and was looking for advise and to learn. I didn't come at this with some bogus mindset, looking for validation for an item i wished to buy then trying to argue when i didn't receive that.

I have several friends that run mk 5s and they all like them. The eyebox is very forgiving and the glass is good.

ive never heard of swfa and saw they were only like 400 bucks, so i doubt i want to go that route on a 4-5k rifle lol i really considered the nx8 (because i can get it in fde)

see now your manipulating, various things i said to try to validate you point... that falls under the narcissistic definition (another bad trait for a boss... clean it up success will bloom). I wrote off SWFA for mutiple reasons, 1 never heard of them. In itself that isnt bad seeing clearly i researched them after, BUT they are 400 bucks. Thats why i wrote them off, every red dot i have on a pistol costs more then that. Cost is a direct link to quality to some extent, at that price range it isn't in the cards for this rifle.

I said i preferred if i could find something in fde but that wouldn't be a decision maker. (i can have a black scope cerakoted) so ummm yes liking something for its color is human nature. Basing an entire purchase because of somethings color would be irresponsible at best, but just down right stupid.

Anything else i can help clarify? I still don't see where you are lending advice here to "teach me about scopes" and instead just trying to argue about irrelevant bs (I don't have time for that. I'm shocked you do, 4 job boss). So last reply of me entertaining this nonsense. You here to help or squabble?

I’ll offer some advice. Go here read for a few hours and you will see there is no correlation with price and quality
