It wasn’t killed in a driveway no matter what you read on the internet..

Killed on a decent sized piece of private it wintered on.

Well there is a video of the "supposed" Kill shot that I have. I will admit it is poor quality, You see no arrow, and you have to slow it down and zoom in to see the snow in the far background that is in the trees. But that said, That bull sure jumps like it was just stuck. Other than that I couldn't tell you if it was or wasn't which is why I won't share it.

It’s missing an arrow and snow, it was taken about a month ago by a local and pimped by attention whores for likes.

It would be interesting to know how much $$$ the raffle cost him and how much $$$ the private access cost. I mean we know 161 days...

Not in a judgmental way, just out of curiosity.

That video was this fall, not here in December. The area has a ton of snow on the ground right now which is not present in that video. The bull was spooked and that is clear as day.

Come on man.
Always loosing money is called a hobby or going out of business.
They may loose one year but there must be another year they make enough to cover both.
Or there working another job to feed money in. Which if there doing that to keep the average is great and all but, it absolutely stupid business wise.

They can’t be losing money year after year. It’s not sustainable. Unless they are trust farm babies who keep bailing out the farm.

I’m not saying there rich. But not making a lot. And continued loss are 2 different things.
You’re right, there are good years that they make money. I never said always lose money. That was Ks ranchers friends. I don’t disagree with your statement

The Oregon guys are paying 80k + to kill 360-380 bulls. White mountain is killing 400’s but its invite only and its 60K_ now.

380+ is hard to even buy right now free range.
Last I saw on the White Mountain it was a fair bit north of 60k unless you wanted the guide to tell you you couldn't kill certain bulls, even with it being preexisting clientele only

Doesn’t surprise me at all..

The politics there are a mess.

There was a possible new world record Mountain Goat killed this year, and the story is out there for all to read but it doesn't have any bit of the chaos surrounding this elk. Like I said above, I'd just like to hear the real story as I enjoy hunting stories, especially about giants we all dream about.
I was thinking the same thing today.
I think that goat story fits narratives and protocol a little better than this one.

Equaling a whole lot less social media drama.

I don't worship him; you just threw out a disparaging remark about a person with nothing to back it up. Pretty childish move. But, every site has its haters...
Lol dude I didn’t disparage him. I said I would do the same thing except post about it.

Acknowledging he has wealth isn’t a criticism either.

I’m not a hater, but I’m also not the president of his fan club. That role seems to have already been filled.

Guys, please don’t get this thread nuked before we find out whether it was Granny Smith or Honey Crisp that got the beast killed at the hands of the worlds greatest elk hunter. I need to know how many apple magpies it took to ethically haze him over the right fence too. Please stay on subject and keep your bickering in the PMs.

His great grandfather, Henry Casey, was the brother of Jim, who founded UPS. Seems like Henry split off and was successful in his own right and helped start the Casey Family Foundations with his siblings, a group of philanthropies that has around $2.5B in assets today.

I quite frankly don't really care either way, but glazing this guy as some aw shucks hayseed farmer that likes to elk hunt is comical.

So… an air to a multi billion dollar family fortune, shot the new world record bull on some guys drive way, over a pile of apples and hay?

Color me impressed!

Trying to deflect your unfounded slandering of this guy by digging at me doesn't get it. You called him a trust fund dude but when you get called out on your bullsht you backpedal. Give it a break. You made an unfounded statement about someone you don't know and double down by attacking me. Maybe its time for you to back off; you're looking more foolish with each post. I'm done with you.
