That's what I'm talking about! Awesome! Thanks for sharing this.
I bet you could get into one for $9kish, I didn’t look at their pricing but the 700’s are around $11k and I wouldn‘t get a 700 as it doesn’t have a L gear, the 500’s also if you can find a leftover 2020 might be a good price as they just released the 520’s.

I have a 1000-5 but can't typically use it on my hunts. My buddy has a 500 which is legal on more trails.

I want one of these little buggers just for hunting. My 62" machine is noticeably more cumbersome than a 50".

No, I thought when would I need a winch?

I was out in a flat anyway so no trees.
I’ve read a lot of good things about the Harbor Freight Badlands models, I’m putting their 5k model on, got it on sale for $150ish. Some are putting them on front and back.

Only downside to them in snow is they high center easily. I got my CanAm stuck on my NV hunt. They are like a sled on the bottom so they will ride right up a drift and leave you with no traction. Luckily someone came by to pull me out.
You air down the tires and that will help staying on top of the snow. We ride all winter long around here. Mid winter we can run in 4 or 5' of snow without having many problems. Another thing that needs to be done is reduce the clutch spring pressure with a low engagement spring to allow you to start in the snow gradually. Not the RZR dragster start, that will get you stuck in a skiff. Been doing the snow thing with ATV's and SxS's for 18 years now.

Fox has great marking but in reality they dyno one out of every 20 shocks and for what you are paying there are much better options. For a revalve of the factory set that will ride better and last longer than fox your looking in the 600 ish range then ad a spring kit to what goal is would be $500.00. The fox springs will last a year with moderate use. He just did a set for a guy who had fox and the customer was astonished at how stable the utv was making turns and hauling vs the fox kit. If you are wanting to go top end ohlins would be it but then 8000.00 is a little steep for most who just use them for fun.

Does he have a website?

Will be buying a UTV sometime this year. Looking at all makes. Can Am, Polaris, Honda, Cat. The big advantage I see with Honda is no belts. Problem is the nearest dealer is 45 miles away and I don't like them. Cat (Textron) dealer right in my home town. I like the fact that Cat finally has been bought by a company with money behind them and is an American company. Polaris and Can Am also out of town for me dealer wise and also have the belt issue.

I have had a bull in mine. No pictures. I have a Kawasaki Mule FXT PRO. They have a large bed. It is more of a hunting/work machine and less of a dune buggy. A lot more cargo space than the sportier models.

Honda is a good machine.

You can go about 10 times faster on roads a pickup would barely go and they will go a lot of places a pickup just won't.
Hmmmm......I've heard that before, but I guess I'd have to put one to the test against my Toyota to believe it. I've never found any limitations with my Toyota yet, and even flew it off the road this summer doing 40mph. Had about a 5 foot drop off and then into a rock field that stopped us immediately. My 14 year old daughter will never be the same.....I think she's still shaking. But as soon as I cleared the rocks from the frame, I drove it out of there and back onto the road. In my defense there was a blind 90 degree right turn at the top of a hill......no time to even slow down. Against my defense.......ya, I was going way too fast for that road, but that's certainly not uncommon for me. Other than an alignment, it came out unscathed. Better than I can say for my daughter.

If they really are faster and go places a pickup won't, then I'm sure I'd be pushing it to and past its limits as well.......which would most likely be even more dangerous for me. Hmmm.....I might have to check one out. But I prefer a closed cab for warmth and need to keep my coffee hot. I'm pretty confident that anywhere those would be legal in CO, I could easily get my Toyota into as well.

Anyone have some pics of meat in these things? I wanna see an elk laying in the back of one.

This guy was shot a couple of miles from the access point to a truck. After the first load, my buddy went and grabbed his UTV, after about an hour he was within 300 yards of the kill site, made the rest of the packout a heck of alot easier. No way anything short of a heavily modifed rock crawler could've gotten thru the old trails and old river beds that he took.

I’m kinda jealous although I’d much rather have the 500 so that I’m 50” trail legal
They are coming out with a 520 this year which gives you the 50” model with a bed. That is the one I want. My buddy in AZ has an old 50” Yamaha and I am constantly amazed where that thing can go and what that thing can do. My mechanic abilities are pointing me towards a new Honda.

But all the cabs seem to be aftermarket. I don't understand why very few (if any) vehicle manufacturers don't offer a full hard cab. Obviously, people buying one of these are seeking some comfort mixed with capability. Why not off a full hard cab that doesn't look like it was an afterthought? Who wants to put all that money into one of these an be hunting in total slop and still cold to the bone?

Seems like they are leaving money on the table to me.
