I hear Honda is the way to go.

My buddy has a dozen out of his camp of different brands of ATVs but switching over to Hondas now.

What really made me go Honda is no belts, all gear driven. It also has a true front and rear locking diff but also turf mode for working on your lawn.

If you need shocks I know a guy who builds them to how ever you want them to perform. My brother has a shop in bosie. He spent the last 10 years doing shocks for nascar and lucas oil late models and other top series on the dirt tracks and has gotten into the atv and utv. They make the ride and performance noticeably better. Dynos them to your specific needs and wants
Oh nice, I ordered some Fox shocks, supposed to be a big improvement.

Definitely an advantage to not trailering something depending on where you are, the fact you can come off the trail and drive right down the road is nice. But you can cover ground 2-3 times faster than with a truck, they are purpose built to handle the abuse. I have yet to see a vehicle that can take the abuse these can. To some extent another advantage is if it breaks down you aren't completely stranded walk out or get a ride to your tow vehicle, you might be able to take your time and go get it and then head home, or you can atleast get home. Have a full-size truck or even a taco breakdown 6 miles up a trail and it can be a nightmare. I have replaced ball joints in the middle of a road on a taco, not fun, especially in 18 degrees.
And why abuse your main vehicle, my truck sits at camp and doesn’t get driven much. I’d rather beat up the atv/utv.

No crazy is putting 32x12x15 LT tires all the around.

Picture makes them wider.
Yeah they look wide but they only rub a hair at full lock. They also don’t measure a true 30”, came in at 29 1/8”.

Way easier to maneuver on bad roads. Easier to get unstuck. Cheaper to maintain. Use less gas. Can go places a stock truck cannot. Don’t beat up your truck.
All while still drinking your coffee. I replaced the factory crap drink holders with marine ones that will hold a 30oz mug. I’m also going to add soft upper front doors to keep weather out. Not sure if I’ll add a heater.

What is the overall width of the UTV?
It’s wide, factory is 63” but with the tire upgrade, went with the same size wheel and tire on all 4 so had to put 1” spacers on the back, think it’s at 65” now.

But the front seats 3 and the bed 2, has to be wide to fit that many people.

Put a license plate on it you can drive it anywhere. At least here in Sodak you can they are running all over town all year round. Leave work right out in the ice and start fishing in a heated cab is nice
Yeah most states won’t let them be street legal or recognize other states that do, in CO your SD street legal plated utv is still illegal, for the most part, some counties do allow them in towns.

Ya i fgured. I think we are going to get one for my wife to drive back and forth to work the three blocks vs starting her vehicle for that. Going to be a write off for snow removal going to have a blade on front of it

What kinda dough are we talkin' here for a similar setup? Asking for Santa.
I paid $17.4k otd including tax, add about $1k-$6k for accessories depending on what you want to do, so not cheap. But look at it this way, it’s a family rig that can be used most of the year and no worries of damaging your daily driver or buying an old hunting rig that maybe constantly needs work and they’ll go most places easily that is hard on a truck or even a stock Jee. Also the Honda’s at least are super easy to work on.

I drug a 1/2 ton truck and 24 ft box trailer out of a hole that I 5037D799-1B29-4144-B45D-74B41785EECF.jpeg647C0A10-F6B3-4349-A135-9F4764A36788.jpeg548E40DE-480B-416F-91AF-19550A1D0D00.jpegthought we were gonna need a tractor to even budge it. Pioneers are rowdy. Blows my mind how well they stay glued to the ground. Honda knocked others outta the park with these.

Yeah I wish I could do that, I may get it plated in ID as they also allow for nonresidents to do that, cheaper then SD which also allows nonresidents to plate their utv’ s.

I’m kinda jealous although I’d much rather have the 500 so that I’m 50” trail legal

They are stickers on factory valved shocks. I got to here a rant about all kinds of technical shit over my head the other day.

I’d disagree on that. Mine has factory shocks, brother has limited with fox shocks, his is very noticeably smoother ride. Not that the others are rough, his is just better.
