new type headlamp

When the aliens come, they will take you first if you’re wearing this gizmo. Looks like that deal that Levar Burton wore over his eyes in that space series.

The headlamp that I still use (Bushnell rechargeable) has a flood-type setting that gives me more than enough coverage. I am not sure I need 230 degrees of light. Considering that the average human only has 170 degrees of vision, it seems that you have about 60 degrees of extra light that you don't need. Also don't like that the spot is on the side. Seems like your head would block the beam, limiting the light on the left side.

My 2 kids and I all got one for Xmas last year, we will be using them tonight for the first time.

My first impression is they may be great for tracking but too bright for going in in the dark, even with the flashlight feature deal on the side. The lowest setting last night in my back yard really lit things up more than I like.

Bought one of those on Amazon for like $20 for $hits and giggles. Nice for around the house but cheaply made ($20 should be a hint). I wouldn't trust it in the backcountry.

Ours will all be used hunting whitetails.

I agree with the guy that says he wouldn’t trust it in the backcountry. I’ll try mine out this season and if I don’t like it repurpose it for something else.

Looks like a good base camp light, truck camping as well. I looked at them a while back, just couldn't pull the trigger on it.

I have a Zebra floody and another generic 18650 light for a back up, the generic light is quite nice for the money! 77outdoor d25lr. Wanted something with green or red. 30 bux ish.
