New tricer bipod

I will be honest, I thought I was going to hate the pan feature. But man has it come in handy on the steep, uneven terrain I had to set up on. When you don't have time to reposition the legs or if there are rocks and roots in the way, the pan is nice. I'm only using it for hunting, not the bench or competition. It's truly a versatile bipod.

My wife was the first one to use it this year. One harvest was at 120 yards, kneeling because the shrubbery was too tall. Nothing around to use as a brace. Very little time to get the shot off. Only other choice was offhand, which is not an option for her at a 120 yards. She deployed the bipod quickly and dropped the deer on the spot. She loves that bipod.

Did you say the Shhhhhrubery was too tall?

Could you elaborate on? As in only newly purchases bipods ? Or can we send in our OG bipods to have this done ?
Only new bipods. I am pretty sure we will be shipping these early 2026. You will not be able to retrofit the OG bipod. This lockout button will be on all new bipods going forward. I have been running it for 6 months no issues does everything a lot of you want and still allows for using panning which I believe is critical for predator hunting etc.

What’s the price gonna be ?

I'm sure you will make the announcement and go over the details in due time, but when locking out the Pan feature, will the head still be able to move left and right (i.e. 10 o'clock - 2 o'clock) to accommodate for uneven ground?

Thanks for making great products!

Thats a partial pan lockout appears, still a lot of L to R slop. The through bore with roll pin or the nylon bolt looks like a better option.

Just FYI I ordered one yesterday and was going to cancel to wait for the pan lock feature, Tricer emailed me and said that feature is incorporated into the model I ordered. So I guess the pan-lock is live.

Did a little bit of rock shooting with the tricer BP today. I liked it, I have an OG with the pan but didn’t bother me at all just did some funky field positions and practiced getting it into position quickly and making a shot, I’m a fan definitely recommend lots of practice to get quick at deploying and adjusting

I just received my RP bipod and it does in fact have the new pan lockout. It seems to lock up well and at most has 1/4” of movement at the ends of the legs in the long configuration, collapsed and stowed if that makes sense. I would guess maybe 1 degree. Really glad to see them incorporate this option for folks who don’t want the pan, yet still give the option for people to use it if they desire.

Could you grab a pic by any chance? Curious to see how it looks in production form
