I wonder if the ball could have a hole/channel milled and you install a pin with a spring so you could essentially lock it to tilt and then pull the pin for pan?

Either way, I pre-ordered as well as this seems like a fantastic 1 bipod option.

That would be awesome, but I don’t have a mill, I do have a drill press! I don’t see myself using it so I will not go through the effort to make a selectable pan lock out vs just a permanent pan lock out pin.

That would be a game changer IMO... Or a set of trecking poles that could use one of the bipod legs

Could be a complete ignorant wish from ann engineering standpoint, but if I could dream up a perfect bipod… It would basically be what the new tricer is, but be able to go tall enough and able to unscrew from the head and use as trekking poles, as well as a 3rd leg for a tripod.

Does anyone know what the materials are for this? Everything seems great on paper, but at such a low price and light weight - my fear is that durability is the sacrifice.

Why wouldn’t the hatch 3rd leg not work?
I think in all of the 3rd leg conversations we are hoping for best case scenario, that eventually Tricer would put out. It would be an easy attachment, goes to the same height as the bipod, and has similar deployment methods. Making the ideal bipod/tripod setup.

IF this doesn’t happen then I think a lot of us will look to figure out our own option on how to make this feasible though it may not be in the most ideal manner. That might mean the hatch leg. It might mean some other jimmy rigged option.

I’m just hoping that Tricer pulls through now that we’ve planted the idea.

In all of this I keep thinking…give them what they want, and they will still want more. Sorry I even started this whole mess. The bipod in and of itself I think is going to be awesome. Keep up the good work @Tricer.
