New to flintlocks, where to start?

I just ordered my first flintlock, a Kibler Woodsrunner kit in .50, and have a few months before it ships. In the meantime, does anyone know of good resources for sidelock shooters? I’m talking about everything from books to YouTube channels to Internet forums to websites that sell lots of blackpowder shooting supplies.
I’d also appreciate any advice for a total sidelock rookie

The capandball youtube channel is also very entertaining and full of historical information for flintlocks and various other historical firearms. For information more tailored to modern hunting with flintlocks the forum that was posted above is a solid resource.

Thanks y’all, I’ve been looking at those resources and they’re all very helpful so far. Are there any worthwhile podcasts that cover flintlocks?

+1 for the americanlongrifles.com forum. The people over there are extremely helpful and full of great information.

I've built several of Kibler's other kits and I can tell you that you are getting an excellent product from great people.

Also, check out Kibler's youtube channel. He has several step by step videos for his colonial rifle, but I'm sure they will be applicable to your Woodsrunner build.
