No. Berger bullets. I've had great results from the 88 eldm in the few guns that get good accuracy from them.Just confirming, you are specifically referring to the 88gr eld-m failing to open?

What twist 6 creed did you use for these?Oh these are looking to be a peach….
Through fog thick enough to barely make out the slight orange discoloration- couldn’t see the USPSA target at all.
The XC load is the load for the 115gr DTAC- no changes. The 6cm is wildly light load- nearly 200fps under where it should be.

BC isn’t an issue. 985 yards.

Thank you, I’m glad I clarified. I got lost there for a moment. He's talking about Bergers failing to open.
20” 6 XC? 2870 fps isn’t too bad for a heavier bullet. Can you give a rough BC of it yet?BC isn’t an issue. 985 yards.

Thoughts on the 115gr NR DtAC as a do it all bullet in a 6xc?Trued out exactly the same as the 115gr NR DTAC- .585 G1.
Is the bearing surface similar to the dtac? Or is it shorter with longer nose?Trued out exactly the same as the 115gr NR DTAC- .585 G1.
DTacs are made for David Tubbs by Sierra right? Or do I have my wires crossed?

How about punching shoulders on thinner skinned game like deer/elk/bears/sheep… good to go ?Do all- not my first choice. The deep cut NR DTAC has been probably the best elk bullet from any caliber/cartridge I’ve seen. Somewhere over 70 in elk with it from near muzzle contact to 1,106 yards. It has the most exits, and the fewest average shots to incapacitation of any bullet or caliber I have used- including large 30 and 338cals. Only one has failed to upset in someway. However they can have a rather long neck length, and are not my preference for deer/bear/antelope.
Pretty sure his post is saying "non optimal wound channels" on less than elk sized game. There's a difference in terminal performance of a standard nose ring dtacs, VS the "deep cut" nose ring dtacs too. Deep cut having better results. How about punching shoulders on thinner skinned game like deer/elk/bears/sheep… good to go ?
Roger that. I’ve got the standard cut NR’s and have been curious to see how they’d act on deer/goats/bears as it sounds like maybe they wouldn’t have the chance to do the same amount of damage that they would on an elk, maybe acting more like a mono on those smaller animals?Pretty sure his post is saying "non optimal wound channels" on less than elk sized game. The majority of terminal damage will be on the offside internal organs due to the long necks Form mentioned, monos don't give that, still better than a mono.Roger that. Honestly the 130 is probably better suited to creed speeds anywayWhat are the chances the 153s stabilize at creedmoor speeds in the 1:8.7" twist Sauer I just got?
I would assume pretty high if they are less pointy than 147 eldms and those work.
How old is that dtac? It looks like one of the first runs when they went to rebated boattail and pointed. The rebated boattail has a sharp edge. I wish I would have bought 100k of those. They shot incredible. Since then I have had from meh to okay, but those first lots were holy shit, that's awesome.View attachment 984362
They look pretty close to me but you can use your own eye-crometer.
