It was literally the very first post!!!
It was, but in his defense he actually posted a picture of them from a thread over on the Hide. Everyone else was asking about 6CM and those ARC cartridges

Was kind'a hoping to see a 25-06 offering. Oh well, guess I'll have to be satisfied with some of the extremely long awaited twist rate changes.

Well used pretty is still pretty IMO.
Absolutely, but my maintenance regime doesn’t align well with blued steel here on the coast, it takes pretty deliberate care to keep rust from causing problems here, I tried twice briefly. Because I really do appreciate a blued barrel and a pretty piece of wood.

If the rokstok becomes available in wood, and there is an option for a good looking piece of wood, I will likely get one, but I know beyond that, it’s a bad idea for me

I had a browning bar safari grade in 338win mag, and I was pretty excited about it, it was not terrible in recoil and it was going to wear a low power scope, and it was going to be my still hunting/swamp bear hunting rifle, but I couldn’t keep the rust off so I had to move it along

Tikka needs to sell actions. The rest of the rifle is a big pile of meh. It works, but just about no one would pick any of it.

I’m odd man out but the factory Tikka stock with the simple vertical grip accessory is excellent. It’s light and serviceable. The channel has a bolster in front of lug that acts similar to a good bedding job that beds in front of lug.

If you want a a cheek riser, the Matthews Kydex cheek riser is inexpensive on Amazon and a simple install.

Take it to next level crazy but I sold my KRG Bravo and went back to the factory stock on my CTR. Factory stock is lighter and has ergos I prefer in a hunting rifle.

Tikka and Sako barrels, in my experience, are the best factory barrels in the world. Paired with extremely good actions and triggers, what in your opinion tops them in a factory rifle?

Plastic stock isn’t my cup of tea but that’s easy to replace.

I would hope he meant barreled actions.

I’m don’t understand why these companies can’t come out with a 6.5 prc and 7 prc in a basic black stock with either a blued or stainless barrel. Or a wood stock with a house or stainless barrel. My guns get the shit beat out of them. I don’t need fancy colors and colored barrels.

I was wondering when Tikka would come out with a 6.5 PRC in the T3X Lite/Superlite line with the basic, non threaded sporter barrel.

Agreed. Looks to me like browning did though. That’s probably what I’ll end up with unless tikka suprises me. They got until June.

Side note I had a Bergara HMR in 6.5 PRC. Great cartridge and I reloaded for it. End of the day I sold it. The 6.5 PRC doesn’t really accomplish anything more than my 6.5 Creedmoor except more recoil and a shorter barrel life.
