Man this rifle doesn’t seem like it’s for everyone on this site and everyone looks at it like tikka made it for a backcountry hunter and failed.
I’d consider either rifles and the t1x if I didn’t have my seekins HIT, the tikka prefit market is loaded. The chassis accessories they offer is pretty cool. Like my seekins hit I can shoot PRS factory class and NRL hunter open heavy or just shoot steel and short walks for coyotes. Idk why everyone looks at this setup like a oh man NRL factory class missed the ball there or they called it a game rifle and it doesn’t weigh 5lbs. Like there is teams and open heavy 16lb limit. Gun weighs 9lbs lots of room to play.
There are people who just shoot to shoot. There are other shooting competitions without a 12lb limit. There are people who don’t have to walk 2 miles to hunt, they hunt from blinds or live in areas where a 13lb rifle isn’t a big deal. This seems like a good crossover rifle where a guy gets a lot of gun for his money and it sits between a regular t3x and the tac a1.
They missed on not having a folder, maybe it will come. I don’t much about tikkas but I don’t think you can swap bolt heads? Maybe if they could offer different bolt heads or whole bolts so a guy can own one action and multiple barrels from 223 to magnum stuff?
