They state they want the new Icon gen 2 to be the Remington 700 of today’s market. Sorry Thompson Center, but it looks like Tikka is becoming that. Definitely big aspirations, but they can if they’ll do the same things tikka won’t do. Fast twist modern cartridges and fast barrels. Also a reliable trigger design, which tikka excels at.

I like the potential for the Icon. Hopefully they move away from using that gawd awful ugly stock. If only the hornady guys could talk them into making a mini version for the ARC cartridges…….

Actions where the bolt is guided by the recoil lug, feel much more sticky and bindy VS an action with raceways for the bolt. This is done to reduce costs and increase productivity, but everything else is a con in my opinion, no thanks......
