Magnus S looks cool to me for a do-all can, if supression is high on your list. I am a bit disappointed though that you have to decide between the brake version and flush mount. Would be awesome if they were modular like the Omega, Nomad, etc.

A 50 cal can that makes a .50 BMG 135db at shooters' ear, though not relevant to any of us.

speak for yourself, but that is quite relevant to me. haven't shot my 50 in a number of years because the neighbors keep calling the cops and saying i shot their kids everytime I touch one off.

Just ordered a magnus s rr cb. Been using a gen 1 ultra 7 for the last 3 seasons on a 10 lb 7rem mag 24”. Hoping the magnus s rr will be a good pair with a 8lb 6.5 prc and a 18in barrel. Sounds like the suppression should be similar to what I’d get with the ultra 5 but plus over 50% recoil reduction. If that’s the case I will have no regrets.

I was looking at a magnus s vs an ultra 7. Ended up going with the ultra 7 due to weight.

I have the 9 and 5 so figured why not.

Has anyone shot the 338 ultra RR version yet? How does the recoil stack up to the ti pro muzzle brake?

I picked up a cert off a prize table last weekend so am looking at the RR cans. The S RR looks like the best of everything, but the length of the K sure seems more desirable to me. Thinking that is what I will go with. Have wanted to shoot a suppressor for matches but don't love the recoil impulse compared to a brake. Thinking the K RR will be the best of both worlds while hopefully not being too loud.

I have one ordered with the same hope. Except I gave up on brakes and shoot 100% suppressed.

I’m hoping the K RR will be quiet enough without the need to double up ear pro.

That 50 cal can, 22.5", 73.5 oz, 2.43" diameter and $5.5k holy eff!

The magnus S on paper doesn't look that appealing compared to an U7 when it comes to price/weight for a couple db in sound reduction.

The RR versions sound nice for a gamer gun. Makes me wonder how different they'd be than a scythe with an omega anchor brake on the end?
I’m in the process of doing some research due to the fact that I want to purchase my first suppressor and it led me to this page, along with others on the forum. You seem to be in the know as you’re answering a lot of questions guys have. I was wonder if I could pick your brain and get some recommendations from you?

I’m by no means an authority on cans. Just have a few, read about a bunch, and am not shy to flap my internet gums. Feel free to PM me though!

I saw you were interested in the choice between magnus S and U7. The tbac spec sheet gives a pretty good run down of the differences in physical size/weight and suppression performance.

I was in the same boat as you. I did as much research as possible. I would recommend TBAC or Liberty Precision Machinery.
