We've had great success over the last 5-10 years with Federal Premium Trophy Bonded Tip's in our Tikka T3's in .243 & .30-06, and our T3x's in .308 & .30-06.

Shoot tight groups at the range and we've killed ~20 mulies with them. All but one tough mountain buck has dropped on the spot or within 100 yards, shots between 100-500 yards. In our experience the things grenade and turn the chest cavity into an absolute blood bath but don't damage the meat.

I have a T3X in 06 as well. Federal Blue Box 150s basically touch rounds. I have been working on a 165 accubond load but no success as of yet. It's really hard to get excited about loading when cheap factory shoots that well.

All I have loaded for two 30-06 rifles I have has been the same load using 165 gr. Accubonds or Partitions.

IMR4350 with Federal 210 match grade primers, standard 210's work well also. Been using Winchester brass.

H4350 would be another good powder to try. With one of those two powders you should be able to get your 30-06 humming right along and shooting very accurately.

Thanks guys. Keep it coming. I picked up some more Fusions and some Power Shok 180's today. Just want to keep running ammo through it for the first 200-300 rounds

My t3 30-06 shoots the Barnes 150 ttsx light out, which is lucky because we have to shoot non led in CA now. Not cheap though.

Enjoy your new rifle!

I wanted those to be "the one" for me but they group a little loose.

What about that Hornady 150 sst super-performance? Those we’re ok for me, but didn’t group as nice as the Barnes. I wanted an all around round for pig & deer and the 150 seemed about right. And, shoot fairly flat for an 06.
