Tested the swaros a bit and they are better than the vortex diamondbacks for sure. They do have better clarity, better light gathering, less glare, sharper less washed out image, colors are better. I'm not disappointed and like them but they upgrade wasn't quite as drastic as I was expecting for the dough. During mid day it would be hard for someone like me to justify the expense in the conditions that I was testing them in. Where they shined was at night when I tested their low light capabilities. I did the Jupiter moon test and could clearly make out 3 moons with the swarovski and only 1 with vortex. I tested them out to about a mile in town, which is not a big town by any means, and the swarovski could see things much easier with much more clarity than the vortex. I was surprised how much I was able to make out with the vortex but I likely would have missed most of the low light items had I not first located them and new what they were with the swarovski first. These tests are really fair comparisons because of the light pollution but I feel gave me a general idea. I doubt I'll really get to put them though their paces until I'm on the mountain in September because we just can't see as far here and it's a different kind of glassing. You should have your new SLC's by now so what do you think ? I love my new EL's but I already own a Swarovski spotter and a couple of rifle scopes and have used other people's EL's so I knew what I was getting.
