New Steiner H6Xi Line

I don’t have an issue with parallax. I do find the elevation and windage turret clicks to be less than desirable. They are definitely tactile and distinct but they are gritty. Not like my Nightforce turrets that are smooth.

The weather was shitty and blowing today so I didn’t get to do a full test but I did run the turret up and back for a few shots and they all landed in the same places with roughly the correct distance between them. I say roughly because it wasn’t perfect but my target was also swaying back and forth in the wind

I am not a fan of the MHR reticle though
What don’t you like about it?

I don’t like that the elevation marks are not an even and equal space. It’s impossible for me to remember that 4 marks down is 5.6MOA instead of just being 4MOA. They are all wonky like that after 3

Draw a little one with the numbers on a scope cover sticker. That way it’s always there. Soon you’ll memorize the 7 marks.

I agree. It’s one of the things that keeps me from trying it. Hunters need something they can quick reference under stress. That said, The reality for me would be that I wouldn’t be holding beyond 4 moa. It’s a very clean tree reticle which is good. Does it draw your eye to center on 3 power…are the outer stadia thick enough?

I’m going to have to do that. I’m not smart enough to ever memorize all the different intervals😂

The issue though is I don’t want to have to reference something outside of the scope. Especially not when I’m in lizard brain mode and staring at an animal through the scope with my firing solution in my head.

I’m going to keep working with it because I typical only do holdover for closer shots and the 4MOA mark will probably be the limit of where I go anyway. I’ll dial for anything further

I’m the same and why I have a little picture to look at on the scope! Buck fever is real for me.

I was all set to buy the 2-12 till I saw the uneven elevation marks. Don’t know why Burris wouldn’t do even 2 moa hash marks. I always dial for elevation anyways so I may still purchase one and just ignore the hash marks below the 4 moa mark. Looks like a great lighter weight hunting scope. Anyone have any feedback on durability and tracking?

Where can you find the MHR reticle explained? For the life of me I can't find a website review that defines what the has marks are set at.

Anyone had any time with these? I was dropping off a barrel today for cerakote and someone had one in on consignment to sell. 3x18 mil version and I have to say I liked it.

I'm a NX8 Mil-C guy and I feel like other than the magnification range, this is a competitor. I liked the semi lit illumination instead of the whole reticle blowing your your eye. The reticle is fine but without having it next to my NX8s to compare it's hard to say how they compare.

Zoomed out the thickened edges of the reticle caught my eye and it looks like a simple duplex style reticle. Took me to around 8 to 10x to feel confident in reading the hold overs though.

Has anyone checked tracking or durability on zero retention?
