New Sitka pants for 2025?

The SG De Havilland's didn't seem much louder than the Timberlines for me. Maybe a bit baggy but not too bad. If I could have the best of both worlds it would be the Timberline fabric and fit with the SG pocket layout with hip zips. I didn't like the zippered pockets of the Timberlines and the SG pocket layout was more functional for me than the Timberlines. So basically marry the too pants and produce a hybrid pair of both.
Agreed. That would be a sweet pant for sure. I hate when companies make the regular hand pockets zippered. Although I do like a single zippered rear pocket.

Idk if I really care for how long the DH zips are though, I’d be okay with a slightly shorter hip zip with some sort of light weight netting in it.

Kuiu kutana is king for me. The new kutana hybrid seems like a win over the timberlines too.
I don’t like that the new Kutana Hybrid does the same weird layout that the Talus pants had though with the waterproof material extending down the leg (I wear gaiters for that) I just want waterproof seat and knees.

I’ve pretty much given up on Sitka pants at this point. I have them all and the only ones I really like are the Ascent for warm weather pursuits. Every year their revisions seem to get rid of the best features/fabrics and omit the big things - hip vents, nylon fabrics, etc.

Kuiu and Stone Glacier get my votes, with the Kutana being way out in front of everything else.
They’ve definitely failed us on pant properties/features that we actually want. Agreed though the Kutana are really hard to beat. I’ll be really curious to see what their answer to them is.
