Seekins rep just told me that they don’t have exact weights yet, but the new models will be about 1/2 lb heavier than the previous.

I do wish they had models without the adjustable stock, that definitely adds weight. But the 20” barrel vs 24” on the PH2 should shed some weight.

Have a PH2 in 300 PRC that is an absolute hammer. Great rifle and will never sell it. But one of these new models will be getting ordered. Seems like Glen and the team are listening to their customers and the people in the field, very nice upgrades from the PH2 and current Element.

They do look nice. Other than the quick change barrel though, there’s nothing there for me to jump at.

I don’t want a heavier stock that can be adjusted, I don’t want carbon barrels and while the now bolt throw is nice, I’ve never had issues with the origional model.

It would be cool to swap a barrel and be able to change cartridges, although I don’t know how often I’d actually do it.

Seems to be a lot to like in these. And at the same time, it’s an unfortunate choice to create a whole new action for the higher pressure cartridges, but apparently retain the R700 trigger and sear engagement. The video I just watched said they were using standard Trigger Tech units.

Do the new ph3’s still have the swappable bolt head? It says tool less bolt but nothing about the bolt head.

I just bought a Vesper SA from UM while they were on sale a couple weeks ago. I have a Ph2 in 6 creed that shoots lights out. If I would’ve known about these I’d probably wouldn’t have bought the Vesper.

I like the updates. But don’t like the palm swell they kept, don’t know if the bolt locks while closed (assuming it does not) and could definitely do without the mlok on the forearm.
