Guys i have narrowed my scope choice down to these three.

steiner H6Xi 3x18x50 MHR moa

NF NX8 2.5 20 50 MOAR

Zeiss v6 3x18 50 zmoai t30

Can anyone give me some pointers. It is my first real long range gun and I will be having a matching 22 creed being built and will have the exact same scope on it too. I feel like i understand moa better so that is what I am gonna go with.

Hey sir, I have a 7PRC with the NX8 4-32 on it and love it. Would have considered the 2.5-20 except with my split pic rail, mounting was gonna be tough. What are you planning on using each gun for? I ask because having the same reticle might be more important than using the exact same scope, depending on each guns purpose.

The only pointer I'd give is spend as much time researching moa/mil as you do choosing which scope.

The only benefit I see to moa is buying cheap used scopes from all the people that bought new moa scopes and later switched to mils...

I'd go with the NX8 if for no other reason than it will be easier to resell if you decide to go another direction.

Can't give you any feedback on the steiner or Zeiss but Eurooptic has demo models of the NX8 available for $1600....

I almost pulled the trigger on one the other week but went a different option.

I am gonna use the 22 creed for black tail and coyotes, pigs, and practice mostly. The 7prc will be my main hunting rifle. I’ll take it everywhere for everything. Both my hunting partners shoot moa. So I’m trying also to be the same on distance calls

Rgr. Both sound like great uses - 2.5-20 would be great for both. As food for thought, the weight difference is only about 1 oz for the NX8 4-32 and it gives you a bit more mounting flexibility for the long action. Still has the MOAR reticle as well.

I get staying with the same calls as your hunting partners. I was able to move mine over to MIL and it’s helped with communication a ton.

I’d go the Nightforce route. I have no experience with Steiners but among the other three the glass quality will be close to equal in all three of them but the Nightforce is a far more rugged scope that will hold up longer. Second choice would be the Leupold as I’ve seen a lot of Zeiss scopes have issues retaining zero after a couple years or not having enough adjustment range out of the box

Nightforce then Steiner then Zeiss.

I have the NX8 2.5-20x50 MOAR on a 7mm and I wish I would have gone with the 4-32x50 MOAR.

Steiner looks like it would be a great option. Lots of folks have good experiences with Zeiss. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in any of those.

I actually own all 3. All great. All have a purpose. But for me the NX8 is the best all around hunting optic to date. Even over my S&B, ZCO, etc.
Go with the NX8 4-32 and be done.

Spring for the 4x32 if you can. I run each scope but prefer the 4x32. It seems to have a better eye box, and it's much easier to mount which makes it more versatile. I have to chop the front end of every rail off on any rifle the 2.5x20 goes on even short actions.

I have that NX8, but in mil and love it. Been shooting an ATACR 5x25 for a long time as well and have been really impressed with NF. You won’t regret going with it.

Just to echo what others have mentioned, depending on the rail on the rifle you’ve got the 2.5-20 NX-8 can be tricky to mount. Typically I can get away with .885” height rings on that scope but if it’s a longer rail or split rail the short front main tube can be problematic.

Easy solution, get the 4-32.

I’m in the same boat and was leaning towards the Steiner as well due to the sale. I would like to know your feedback
