New Powder Thrower

Why do you say ā€œthat style of tricklerā€ won’t work with ball? I’ve watched some videos and can’t figure out why it wouldn’t.
Isn’t it a disk like the ingenuity? Just seems like something that is made to play nice with extruded kernels but struggle with the finer ball powders.

Maybe I don’t understand a type of trickler other than a spinning tube…..I’ll do some more research.

I watched a video that compared the super trickler to a V4 for time loading 50
cases. Both were about 17min if I recall (super 30 seconds faster I think).

I use two older RCBS lites that actually do a good job (verified with FX120). Then I got a dandy trickler and a controller that runs that to within .02g. I was able to replicate 50 loads within a minute of those two units and I think more precisely too. I figure with my 200-300 rounds a year I’m probably ok.

It comes with multiple disks with different tooth sizes for different sized stick powders. Those little teeth control release of the individual kernels more precisely than a spinning tube but dont play well with ball/flake powder.

I'm currently using the AT v3 that has a more traditional spinning tube for trickling functions. Works well, this disc setup appeals for having fewer overthrows, being a c-hair faster, and hopefully requires less calibration.
