Last week I ordered an AMR with one spotting pocket and two medium belt pouches. See if its more functional than my DT1. The bigger main bag is what I am after but I do like the side pockets on timberline series. I am almost thinking the ideal pack would be the AMR with the timberline side pockets.

Does this pack have a load shelf for hauling meat?

No, Aron has stated that he doesn't like the idea of a meat shelf on large packs as it makes the load haul funny. It can be done with a Grab-it and lash kit, but none of the bigger packs have a "meat shelf". Just bring a trash bag and throw the meat inside the pack and you will be happier with the results. I admit that I also wanted a meat shelf and find it necessary for the smaller day pack bags, but for the larger ones I agree with Aron. Once you separate that big of a pack from the frame you will be getting a large moment pulling you backwards.

I love this pack, I think it is perfect in every way for everything I need it for. Bow hunting, shed hunting, backpacking, exped life in southeast Asia, etc etc..ability to compress down to fairly "small" profile but still have the ability to carry "everything I own" ..made up my mind this pack will cover all of my needs..added to a 24" frame...+10

AMR is a beautiful pack. I got some extra chamber pockets. One came inside the AMR and another in the lid. I thought there would be a place to attach more inside the AMR, underneath the top one but I see no attachment points. Any1 know where I can attach the extra?
