New Mystery B&T suppressor

Looking on Reddit it is reported to compare to the nomad in suppression. Seems like with all 3d printed suppressors a good blowout is necessary for the titanium dust/shavings. It was on a supersonic blackout so the comparison isn’t too terribly useful. Weights seem conservative. It’s extremely light from the weights given by those who have received. 7.8 ounces as mounted.

I called SS today to chat with them and they recommended this can to me after I explained my search criteria. He said it’s basically brand new, didn’t have much more to offer than that.

I talked to them too and got the same recommendation. I previously wanted a scythe until I read all about the failures.

This is a pretty similar design but hopefully won’t fail with the 3d printing (and assuming better quality all around)

Called SS again to get more details. I was curious if they have a ton of these on hand they can’t sell or what the deal is. They said they are doing promotion because B&T is trying to access the U.S. market more. The guy said they have +/- 130 left in stock so doesn’t seem like it’s a huge surplus. Also mentioned once the 130 are gone the tax stamp promo will be done. Interesting for sure. B&T as a manufacturer seems to have overwhelmingly positive reviews. It’s definitely tempting to try one. be real curious to hear some feedback on how people like these.

I reached out to B&T and inquired about this can. They told me is was a Silencer Shop exclusive and can only be ordered from them.

I don't know if that is a good or a bad thing?.....

Decided to bite the bullet and give this one a try. Placed my order today. It’s my first can - I’ve had my eye on a scythe for a while but reading about the failures scared me off. Hoping for similar performance with this can with better durability.

Gents, just shot this can and it’s very loud. I did a video I’ll try to share later today but shot side by side with most of my cans and it was by far the loudest. Louder than my TBAC U5 by a ways. If you haven’t purchased yet, the Jolene S was noticeably quieter for similar weight and less money.

Louder than an ultra 5. Dang. A stamped blast diverter!

Well, dang. I’m waiting for mine to ship from silendershop to a local dealer. Regretting that decision after reading this.

Dang, thanks for taking one for the team. Something about the launch and the marketing for this made me think it was an aborted design. Appreciate it.

I just certified one today so now the wait begins. If it sucks, I will find something to do with it. I was hoping it would be comparable to my Jolene S.

I'm hoping it's just due to the brake on the front design making the sound more noticeable to the shooter and not actually higher DB. I can see there appears to be more internal space for the Nomad XC comparing them side by side. Cerakote seems a little weak, got a mark on it from the included wrench from removing the DT hub as well as the mating surface between hub and suppressor appears to be worn off.

Brakes on suppressors are loud. Swap the end cap and it will help greatly.

Were you able to get the end cap off? I thought I read it was welded and non removable?
