Just wondering what the typical terrain is for Unit 16C and 34. I am going to put my kids in for one of these units. I don't plan for them to draw, We have other hunts planned this year but maybe they will get lucky. Anyways I just wondering between the two which one is more open to glassing and stalking. I hate getting stuck in the dark timber for hours.
Thanks

You are smart to not plan on drawing. lol

Either unit should be glassable.

Figured since I am putting them in for some other hunts might as well add elk and take a swing for the fences. We should be hunting deer in Utah this year and maybe OTC Colorado. But maybe luck will be on their side.

I’d say between the two 34 is the way to go.

Both are good units. 16c has steeper mountains and more access. Both are good areas. Lots of elk both places

I’ve hunted both units and they are both open to glassing. They are units that are going to put lots of miles on the legs. I hunted Barbary sheep in 34 and that was brutal. I saw more elk than sheep most days.
