New Mexico Unit 17 January Archery

Hey all,

New guy hear who has found himself with a New Mexico Muley tag in unit 17. Archery hunt January 1-15. This will be my first muley hunt as well as my first hunt in New Mexico. Spent some time cutting my teeth spot and stalking antelope but this will be my first try and muleys. Just kicking off my research about the unit, expectations…etc. Reaching out to gather any information anybody with experience can share, especially if you know the unit a bit. No, I don’t want to know where you hunt or any spots. Just a totally green guy headed far from home this winter looking for some guidance from some people who know way more than I do. Anything helps…Appreciate it!

Welcome to Rokslide. You should take an opportunity to look around a bit and you'll find this community is pretty awesome.

Now unfortunately we aren't letting FNG's (new guys) post up unit specific questions. Any unit question/answers remain out in the world wide webs forever, which can doom some really great spots.

Rokslide's administrations expectation is that all long standing Rokslide members will understand and support this concept and take all such conversations to private message.
