New Mexico Elk Draw 2022

I'm excited to find out. My 1st year to apply for out of state hunt. I'm hoping for beginners luck in drawing a NM elk tag

Draw Update: still pending... For some reason I check every morning in April until I see red/green boxes in there.

Second hand gossip. One was a guy on another forum saying his G&F buddy told him 30k less. One was the gun counter salesman BSing with me about hunting, units, etc. he told me he has several G&F customers that told him 15k less.

We’ll see next year when the numbers are released.

I'll be hunting a Valle for sure then ....... well probably not.... but a guy can dream.

Not living in NM anymore sure makes these draws seem bleak, odds just aint good for NR. Ah well. Hunting CO instead aint so bad.

But at least in NM you have a chance every year! Most all I know fought for the straight 85/15 no outfitter BS. Good luck!

Yea... its hard to get tags even when you live in NM. I wanna hunt this year but if my brother (living in ABQ) finally breaks his bad luck streak and draws a NM bull tag ill be down there calling for him... he's been helping with my hunts where he can for years now because he hasnt drawn in NM for.... a long long time. BUT! hey if he doesnt draw i'll be happy to have him tag along with me haha.

All I know is it's been since 95 since I had a tag in NM. Hope I get drawn this year.
